Best Diapers of 2026: My Honest Review

This post is in partnership with Coterie. I only endorse products I trust and use in my own family.

I’m on my third baby and I’m a creature of habit, so naturally it’s been a while since I tested a new diaper brand. Since we still have lots of time in diapers ahead of us, I wanted to make sure we’re using the best diapers on the market in 2026! I decided to put 5 top diaper brands to the test – Huggies, Pampers, Coterie, Honest, and Bambo Nature.

Here’s my full breakdown across absorbency, clean materials, price and feel. The TLDR? Coterie is my top pick! 🏆

Absorbency

We’re talking diapers here, so performance is extremely important. I was actually shocked at the difference in absorbency across these five brands! To test, I poured one cup of water in each diaper, noting how quickly it absorbed and how dry the diaper felt.

Some diapers claimed to hold up to 16oz of liquid though, so I decided to really put them to the test. I added an additional cup of water to each diaper, then gently pressed paper towels on each diaper to see what residual wetness looked like. Look at the differences here!!!

Honest ⭐️⭐️

Bambo Nature ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pampers ⭐️

Coterie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Huggies ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Winner: Coterie

Clean Materials

I’m pretty conscious about what I use on my kids when it comes to clean materials. Diapers are no exception, and I’ve learned there are a TON of considerations. Here’s what each diaper offers:

Honest: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Made without fragrance, parabens. ECF (elemental chlorine free, not as good as TCF!)

Bambo Nature: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Made with TCF (totally chlorine free) pulp and are free of fragrance, parabens, lotions

Pampers: ⭐️ ECF and many lines include fragrance and lotions

Coterie: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TCF (totally chlorine free). They are also free of fragrance, lotion, dyes, parabens, phthalates, publish safety reports, and are third party verified

Huggies: ⭐️⭐️ ECF and some lines include fragrance

✨Winner: Coterie

Price

Pricing fluctuates a bit with each brand based on how many packs of diapers you purchase, if you subscribe, etc. Here’s a rough price breakdown:

Honest: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~$0.44 per size 3 diaper

Bambo Nature: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~$0.48 per size 3 diaper

Pampers: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~$0.38 per diaper

Coterie:  ⭐️⭐️ ~$0.57 per size 3 diaper (with subscription)

Huggies: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~$0.33 per diaper

✨Winner: Pampers + Huggies (tie)

Feel

I want my kiddos to feel comfortable in their diapers, after all they do wear them 24/7! Here’s how these five diapers stacked up.

Honest: ⭐️ Rough and papery, almost crinkly feel

Bambo Nature: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Felt decently soft and less plasticy

Pampers: ⭐️⭐️ Plasticy and thin feeling, but not as crinkly as Honest

Coterie: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW these are so soft, almost cloth-like

Huggies: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A bit thicker feeling than Pampers

✨Winner: Coterie

Final Verdict

After thorough testing, Coterie is the clear pick for best diaper. As soon as I felt one, I knew they were a cut above the rest. The superior absorbency and clean materials really solidified my choice.
